Pat and his team worked on a renovation project for us in Portobello between Nov 2014 and March 2015. They were a pleasure to work with. Their approach to work was refreshingly professional, with great attention to detail, pride in their work, and undertaken with a great sense of humour - a real bonus! Pat’s extensive experience and creativity was invaluable when we were faced with the myriad decisions involved in such a project. We felt we were in safe hands during every stage of the process. Throughout the build Pat and his chosen sub-contractors were a pleasure to deal with and all were efficient, communicative and responsive.  Where changes were necessary, either by design or enforced through unforseen circumstances, they were attended to without hassle or fuss.   All in all a job well done with the build completed on time and on budget.

We asked Pat to tender for our project based on a friend's recommendation and were made feel at ease in that everything we wished to do was possible. Pat was a complete pleasure to deal with when building our extension and was extremely helpful throughout. He knows how important the planning stage is and spent significant time discussing the project with us beforehand. He suggested some marvelous ideas which we would never have considered ourselves and which have added to our home immensely. Engaging any tradesman nowadays is a cause for worry. What's the standard of their work like? Have they done similar projects in the past? Will they turn up daily and complete the project on time, on budget and without major disruption? From the very outset and after an initial consultation with Pat our mind was put to ease. Pat contributed greatly in meetings with our architect in drawing up plans for our attic conversion and putting forward practical and cost saving ideas. During construction disruption was kept to a minimum which was invaluable given the fact we had a new born baby in the house. Notwithstanding the poor weather the attic was converted on time and more importantly on budget. What was particularly important for us was that Pat was always on site and available to answer any queries we had. The workmanship and standard of finish is exceptionally high. I'd have no hesitation recommending Pat to anyone interested in any construction project.

Pat did a great job in completely renovating our 1950's house. The job was completed on time and within budget. Pat was easy to deal and nothing was ever a problem. Riverwood Construction took a lot of stress out of building a new home. Pat is very knowledgeable and seems to keep up with the current trends and materials. He is very creative and offered great ideas, when we came across any structural or design issues, he would always say "leave it with me!", and he would be back the next day with the solution. The first and second fix carpentry was excellent; the guy he uses was very creative and did a great job. Everyone who worked on the job was helpful and respected our home. When it came to the timeline and closing out the job with the agreed date, Pat was second to none. Other people which were through the house with two weeks to go, said, "It couldn't be done; you won't be in before Christmas". We were having dinner in our fully finished house on the 15th of December. We would HIGHLY recommend using Pat and Riverwood Construction.
